A Royal Afternoon Tea at Covent Garden Hotel, From Monday 30th May
Celebrate the Jubilee weekend in the most quintessential way possible. Covent Garden Hotel has launched a special royal afternoon tea, serving up everything from coronation chicken sandwiches and scones with clotted cream and jam to sweet treats of Victoria sponge, strawberry and lemon tartlet, and Earl Grey and dark chocolate opera cake.
Jubilee Dance Party, Saturday 4th June
Disco moves at the ready! On Saturday 4th June, Wembley Park will be throwing the ultimate Queen’s Jubilee party. Expect a day filled with endless fun, live music, circus acts, entertainment and, of course, a lot of dancing! Spread throughout the day, you’ll find circus acts, street dancers, pavement artists and more keeping everyone entertained. You can even take part in a mini flash mob to show off your moves.
Ashdown Forest Country Day & Horse Riding, Thursday 2nd June
Take it to the countryside and book in for FIENA’s special spring bank holiday trip to Ashdown Forest. Taking place on Thursday 2nd, you’ll be able to escape the city for the day, breathe in the fresh air and channel your inner country girl. The day includes horse riding in the countryside, hiking through the Ashdown Forest, sipping coffees with views of the Surrey Hills and lunch by the lake.
Lizzie’s Platinum Weekend at Ballie Ballerson, Wednesday 1st - Sunday 5th June
Say thanks for the extra bank holiday with Ballie Ballerson’s five day extravaganza. The team will be rolling out the red carpet for your arrival, as well as custom background boards for you to take your Insta stories to the next Jubilee level. Head down in your most regal outfit, grab a glass of Champagne and dance into the night in the ball pit. If you’re after brunch, they’ve got you covered with their boozy brunch.
Private Ballet Class + Picnic, Saturday 4th June
Always dreamt of being a ballerina? Let yourself live out your childhood dream as you join FIENA’s private ballet class. The experience is in partnership with fellow Fiena founding member Sophie Adams. The afternoon will be led by the lead ballerina of The Flower Ballet, as well as tickets to the production of their special show and behind the scenes access.
Jubilation at Brockwell Park, Thursday 2nd June
For those looking for a festival experience to remember, Brockwell Park will be showing us how it’s done with the Jubilation Bank Holiday Madness, a festival packed with big names, DJs, street food and plenty of good vibes. Turning the event into a big house of fun will be headliners Madness, as well as other acts like Superglass Squeeze, Mystery Jets, Crazy P and more.
Tower of London’s ‘Superbloom’, Wednesday 1st June - Sunday 18th September
The Tower of London is set to be transformed into a floral paradise this Platinum Jubilee. The moat is set to become awash with colour as over 20 million seeds are planted. The moat will morph into colour as the summer goes on, beginning soft green before turning to delicate whites, blues, pinks and oranges in the height of the summer. Londoners are invited to head down and use the giant four lane Superbloom Slide to experience the moat in its fullest, winding around the willow-lined paths.
Platinum Picnic in the Park, Thursday 2nd June
Royal Greenwich is set to be bursting with celebrations from family-friendly activities to workshops and performances. Londoners are encouraged to head down and explore the free day packed with food, bars, craft and produce stalls, sporting activities and live performances in the Pride50 tent. Fun for all ages, you’ll be kicking off the Jubilee weekend in style.
